POSITION SCOPE:

The primary mission of the Vendor Master Data Analyst is ensuring the integrity of Vendor Master Data in SAP (Stewardship) and other Master Data Management reporting and analytics tools. They will assist in determining the link between the Company's strategic initiatives and the vendor master data that enables relative success. They will also assist in identifying improvement opportunities, developing and implementing plans for realizing these opportunities, and managing the sustainability of the plans. The secondary mission of the Vendor Master Data Analyst is supporting the Supply Chain team by performing and continuously improving spend analytics reporting as it pertains to vendor master data. The Vendor Master Data Analyst will also be responsible for end user training and training documentation as needed.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key team member in the administration of the HICX supplier data management application
  • Ensures vendor data quality is maintained to GPI Data Governance policies and procedures in SAP and other receiving systems using Information Steward and Data Services (ISDS) and other data quality management tools – the role serves as the ultimate “Gate Keeper” for vendor data quality
  • Ensures vendor data standards are maintained and documented, designs rules to meet business requirements and verifies they operate effectively in ISDS
  • Identifies automated correction opportunities, working with IT to design and implement
  • Ad hoc support of business projects related to Vendor Master Data qualitysuch as systems conversions and implementations, M&A data integration, and data enrichment
  • Participates on formal project teams and activities concerning Vendor Master Data quality
  • Analytical role working with the Supply Chain team to leverage vendor information to promote company cost savings and earnings growth
  • Utilizes third party data enrichment services to analyze active vendor population for credit worthiness, diversity status, FATCA (Foreign Acct Tax Compliance), OFAC (Office of Foreign Asset Control)
  • Supports Supply Chain with routine and ad hoc vendor reporting requirements such as spend reporting and working capital improvement by driving transition to standard payment terms across active vendor population
  • Collaboratively collects and reports data quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators
  • Provides support for internal and external audit requestsas needed
  • Works with the AP team and our third-party support team, ensuring all creations and changes comply with data governance standardsand internal control requirements
  • Develops and maintains documentation pertaining to areas of responsibility
  • Prepares and conducts training as needed for areas of responsibility
  • Assists with other Master Data Management related tasks and projects as needed

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Accounting, AIS, MIS, Mathematics, Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Strong attention to detail and first-time quality and accuracy of work are key requisites
  • Demonstrated proficiency with process and database element deconstruction and reconstruction with a passion for process and continuous improvement
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, primarily Excel & Access. SQL experience a plus
  • 3 years SAP experience required
  • Experience in master data management approaches, technologies, and processes in a complex organization
  • Experience in collaborating with multiple departments and leadership to achieve business objectives
  • Effective project management skills– planning, decision-making, prioritizing, timely completion
  • Must be creative, resourceful, organized, and able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • End user training experience
  • Work involves confidential and sensitive information. Discretion is essential
  • Willingness to travel – up to 20%
