Job description

Responsibilities

As a Coax Splicer Trainee, you will develop new skills, work in a safe-minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.  

In addition, you will: 

  • Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable 
  • Optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity  
  • Utilize RF Meters and TDR (Time-Domain Reflectometers) 
  • Read CATV telecommunication design and prints 
  • Work in outdoor utility construction sites 

Qualifications

About You: 

  • Safety is a part of your day-to-day 
  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality 
  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work 
  • You are looking for long-term projects 
  • You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team  
  • You have experience in CATV installation or other telecom experience  
  • You are comfortable working on a ladder or bucket truck  
  • You are flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts with overtime  

MOS Codes B05A, 3D157, 6423, B05A, and 5699 relate well to this position. 

Compensation of $18-$22 per hour.
