Overview:
The Construction Manager I will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. The Construction Manager I will work closely with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in construction management who have Mass Timber Experience are looking to gain hands-on experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Project Planning and Coordination:
-    Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project management and engineering teams.
-    Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
-    Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.

2.    Construction Execution and Supervision:
-    Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, including subcontractor work, material deliveries, and equipment installations.
-    Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices throughout the construction process.
-    Monitor work progress and productivity to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

3.    Quality Assurance and Control:
-    Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to verify workmanship, materials, and finished products meet project requirements and specifications.
-    Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and deviations from standards and ensure timely resolution of any deficiencies.

4.    Documentation and Reporting:
-    Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily progress reports, inspection records, and change orders.
-    Prepare and distribute reports to project management and stakeholders to provide updates on project status, milestones, and issues.

5.    Stakeholder Communication:
-    Serve as a primary point of contact for subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors regarding construction activities, schedules, and requirements.
-    Communicate effectively with project management and other stakeholders to address project issues, concerns, and changes in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
-    High school diploma or equivalent, (bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is preferred but not required), or equivalent work experience.
-    Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or related field, with exposure to construction project management practices and processes.
-    Basic understanding of construction methods, techniques, and terminology.
-    Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
-    Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed.
