Company: Benchmark Masonry, Inc.
Work Location: Montana
Travel Requirement: At least 90% of the time by company vehicle.
Position: Foreman
Wage: Dependent on Experience
Description: The Foreman is responsible for supervising field employee’s activities on the project site. You will work closely with your Project Manager regarding all project activities. Project Foreman are encouraged to keep all lines of communication open with the Project Manager.
Essential Functions:
  • Thoroughly review project documents including plans and specifications.
  • Meet with Project Manager regarding how the project was bid, labor burden, equipment costs, etc.
  • Understand all items of work.
  • Become familiar with scheduling requirements to achieve or beat the project schedule.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers on the project.
  • Handle daily project problems with assistance from Project Manager as required.
  • Layout projects for building locations and site work.
  • Verify field dimensions when necessary.
  • Keep job site safe and clean.
  • Responsible for Project Safety.
  • Keep tool trailer and truck clean and orderly.
  • Discipline workers as required.
  • Quality control over our work and subcontractors.
  • Manage and maintain equipment.
  • Compile all field paperwork.
  • Inform Project Manager of change order work and extra work.
  • Work in high, precarious places such as scaffolding and ladders.
  • Work in outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat or cold.
  • This position reports directly to the Project Manager.
  • Follows all company standards based on the employee handbook, drug & alcohol policy, and safety handbooks.
  • This role is based out of Lewistown, MT office, but travel to projects will be required with this position. Either positioned at the out-of-town project for the duration, or travel on a regular basis will be required. Work related travel expenses are covered by the Company.

Experience and Skills Desired:
  • Five plus years in field work experience on masonry construction projects.
  • Must require minimal supervision.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the public always.
  • Be willing to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Confident in English and Spanish languages.
  • Clean criminal background as we work on secure state and federal facilities.
  • Must be able to read and understand project documents such as plans and specifications.
  • Prior experience in managing self-performance trade scopes is highly desirable.
  • OSHA training.
