Masonry Estimator Commercial & Industrial ProjectsJob Overview

Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 3:30 PM

The Opportunity

This role is focused on delivering accurate, high-quality estimates for large-scale commercial masonry projects. You will play a key role in our pre-construction process, supporting established relationships with general contractors across industrial warehouse, manufacturing, and big box retail sectors.

Youll be working directly with leadership on a consistent pipeline of work, primarily located in the Southeast United States, while operating out of our Phoenix/Tempe office.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Execute detailed digital takeoffs using On-Center (or similar software) to ensure precise material and labor forecasting

  • Analyze project drawings and specifications to develop complete and accurate estimates

  • Prepare competitive bid proposals including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing

  • Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors

  • Identify scope gaps, inconsistencies, and value engineering opportunities

  • Maintain and update unit pricing, production rates, and cost databases

  • Coordinate with operations team to ensure estimated costs align with real-world production and field conditions

  • Support ongoing relationships with general contractors and assist with bid follow-ups

  • Document bid iterations, assumptions, and communications to maintain clarity and consistency across projects

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience in commercial masonry estimating

  • Proficiency with On-Center, Bluebeam, or similar takeoff software

  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings

  • Solid understanding of masonry systems, materials, and installation methods

  • Experience estimating large-scale commercial or industrial projects

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of masonry estimating experience or related commercial construction background

  • Experience with industrial projects where interior CMU chase walls are prevalent

  • Familiarity with big box retail and warehouse construction

  • Existing relationships with owners, developers, or key accounts in commercial construction (not required, but a plus)
