The Flamingo Resort & Spa is a mid-century marvel in The Valley of the Moon. The buildings, rendered with natural materials and iconic angular silhouettes, are the work of master architect Homer A. Rissman. Set on a 10-acre campus, it is an incomparable property for both its city access and sense of complete retreat.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Instructor who is customer-focused and passionate about health and wellness. The ideal candidate thrives in a resort environment, enjoys connecting with people from around the world, and brings energy and enthusiasm to every class. The Fitness Instructor will be responsible for leading engaging fitness classes of varying levels, ensuring guest safety, and creating a memorable wellness experience that complements their escape at our resort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide, teach, and facilitate individual and group exercise instruction for members and guests
  • Deliver safe and effective workouts through observation, corrections, and answering questions
  • Stay current on fitness techniques, trends, and best practices
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, as needed
  • Greet guests and provide friendly, professional assistance with inquiries and service needs
  • Maintain cleanliness of all work areas, including fitness facilities, studios, locker rooms, and equipment, in line with company and regulatory standards
  • Monitor facility use to ensure guest safety and adherence to guidelines

What are we looking for?

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a fitness instructor, personal trainer, or group exercise leader (hospitality experience a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for guest service
  • Certification(s) in fitness instruction, personal training, or related specialty (preferred)
  • CPR/AED certification (preferred)
  • Ability to lead a variety of class formats and fitness levels
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and team-oriented personality
