Description

Funko Overview Welcome to the Funko-verse, a world built on pure imagination, a land governed by the philosophy that stories matter, a universe comprised of characters from countless fandoms, a galaxy of once upon a times and happily ever afters.

But what does Funko do? Funko is a purveyor of pop culture, making and selling license-focused collectibles. We’re based in Everett, WA where we have a store that delights kids of all ages (kids at heart included). We currently hold hundreds of licenses for franchises ranging from Marvel to Harry Potter, giving us the rights to create tens of thousands of characters—one of the largest portfolios in the pop culture and collectibles industry. We take your favorite characters and turn them into adorable, or sometimes scary, collectible figures. Our most famous line, Pop! Vinyl, has millions of fans around the world.

The Director of Digital and Retail Technology Products is responsible for defining and executing the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Funko’s digital ecosystem. This role leads the product management function across eCommerce, customer-facing digital experiences, mobile applications, digital marketing platforms, retail technologies and emerging AI-powered capabilities.

They will partner closely with business leaders across Marketing, eCommerce, Retail, Creative, Customer Experience, Data & Analytics, and Technology to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, and deliver digital products that drive customer engagement, revenue growth, operational efficiency, and innovation. This leader will champion a product-centric culture, leveraging customer insights, analytics, experimentation, and artificial intelligence to continuously improve the digital experience and accelerate business outcomes.

What You’ll Do
  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap for Funko’s digital product portfolio.
  • Lead product discovery efforts to identify customer, fan, and business opportunities.
  • Establish product goals, KPIs, and success metrics aligned to company objectives.
  • Drive prioritization decisions across competing business initiatives and investments.
  • Build and mature product management best practices, frameworks, and operating models.
  • Develop and lead Funko’s digital product strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance customer experiences, personalization, content creation, search, merchandising, and operational efficiency, with AI as an enabler.
  • Establish governance, measurement, and adoption strategies for AI‑powered products and features.
  • Stay current on emerging digital and AI trends and translate them into actionable business opportunities.
  • Champion customer‑centric design and data‑driven decision making across digital channels.
  • Partner with UX, Analytics, Marketing, and eCommerce teams to improve conversion, engagement, retention, and customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage customer insights, research, and experimentation to continuously optimize digital experiences.
  • Advocate for fan and customer needs throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Marketing, Creative, Operations, Retail, and executive stakeholders to align priorities and drive successful product outcomes.
  • Lead product portfolio planning, business case development, and roadmap communications.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment and ensure transparency around priorities, tradeoffs, and outcomes.
  • Manage strategic vendor and platform relationships supporting the digital product ecosystem.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of Product Managers and Product Owners.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish product management standards, career development pathways, and performance expectations.
What You’ll Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in Digital Product Management, Product Leadership, eCommerce, or Digital Experience roles.
  • 3+ years leading product teams and driving cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Experience managing digital product portfolios and customer‑facing digital experiences.
  • Experience working within agile product delivery environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern eCommerce, digital marketing, customer engagement, and digital experience platforms.
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into product strategies and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging customer insights and data to drive decisions.
  • Experience building business cases, prioritizing investments, and managing product roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating and implementing AI‑enabled products, capabilities, or business solutions.
  • Understanding of generative AI, personalization, automation, and data‑driven customer experiences.
  • Ability to communicate AI opportunities and risks to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

  • Proven success leading through change in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
  • Passion for innovation, customer experience, and continuous improvement.
