BANQUET SERVER 


About the Role:

As a Banquet Server at Odessa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, you are part of a team with a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences during events and functions.  Your primary objective is to ensure that guests receive attentive, courteous, and efficient service throughout banquets, weddings, conferences, and other special occasions. You will collaborate closely with the banquet team to set up dining areas, serve food and beverages, and promptly address guest needs to maintain high satisfaction levels. This role demands a strong focus on detail, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall success and positive reputation of the hosting venue by creating memorable experiences for all attendees.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality, preferably in banquet or event settings.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Food handling in hospitality service.
  • Experience working in a high-volume banquet or catering environment.
  • Familiarity with banquet service and workflows.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and based on operation needs.
