We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide high-quality counseling and therapy services to families and individuals at the Head Start Youth Counseling Center, situated within a remote community health clinic framework in Smyrna, Georgia. In this full-time role, you will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary medical team to address and mitigate psychosocial issues impacting our diverse client population while helping them attain a greater sense of well-being.

As a remote position, the LMFT will have the flexibility to work from a home office while maintaining regular communication and collaboration with staff at our community health clinic. Our practice employs state-of-the-art telehealth tools and electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure seamless service delivery and client tracking. While the role is primarily remote, periodic in-person meetings and training sessions may be scheduled to foster team cohesion and professional development.

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' psychosocial needs, collaborating with medical staff to develop integrated treatment plans.
• Provide individual and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methods tailored to the unique dynamics of each family.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation in line with company requirements and healthcare regulations, ensuring timely updates to client treatment plans.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations to share insights and strategies for patient care.
• Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, using de-escalation techniques and appropriate therapeutic strategies to ensure client safety and well-being.
• Facilitate referrals to specialized services, including group therapy, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and substance abuse counseling, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.
• Evaluate treatment efficacy regularly through progress reviews, adapting strategies as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
• Represent Head Start at community events and professional meetings, fostering relationships and advocating for mental health awareness and resources.
• Embrace opportunities for additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall program enhancement and the organization's goals.

In this role, you will primarily work with children and families from diverse backgrounds, many of whom face significant socio-economic challenges. Building rapport and trust is crucial, as many clients may be experiencing trauma, anxiety, or depression. Your ability to apply a trauma-informed approach will be instrumental in helping them navigate their emotional and psychological needs.

Applicants must possess a valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia. A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration and client engagement.

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with prior experience in outpatient therapy settings, especially working with children and families. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and EHR systems is a plus, as is experience in disaster response or crisis intervention.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
