Baptist Health is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a full-time day shift position, working 36 hours per week. Candidates must be flexible to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and participate in the required call rotation.

As a CVOR Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting cardiovascular surgeons and the operating room team by maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring safe, efficient surgical procedures for open heart and cardiovascular cases.

As a CVOR Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities include:

  • Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for cardiovascular operative procedures

  • Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly

  • Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments

  • Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety

  • Prepare, clean, and restock the operating room between procedures

  • Participate in the required weekday and weekend call rotation

Experience Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience with Open Heart Procedures required

Education & Credential Requirements:

  • High school diploma required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
