We are looking for a Web Developer to join our corporate Marketing Team in Irvine, CA.
The Web Developer is responsible for the design, development, and ongoing optimization of the Company's web-based properties, with WordPress serving as the primary development platform. This position plays a critical role in supporting the Marketing department's digital strategy by delivering technically sound, high-performing web experiences that align with organizational objectives.
In addition to core development responsibilities, the Web Developer will also support project coordination efforts, ensuring that web initiatives are executed on schedule and in alignment with established priorities.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and optimize all Company websites and digital properties, with a primary focus on WordPress-based environments including custom theme and plugin development.
• Implement web projects in accordance with approved technical specifications, wireframes, and business requirements, adhering to established quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support the management of the web project queue in coordination with the Marketing Web Services Manager, including tracking project status, communicating timelines, and ensuring on-time delivery of deliverables.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve website issues in a timely manner; provide support outside of standard business hours when required to maintain business continuity.
• Integrate and maintain third-party platforms and APIs, including CRM systems, marketing automation tools, analytics platforms, and related technologies.
• Ensure all web properties comply with applicable federal and state regulations and institutional policies, including but not limited to CCPA, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and ADA/WCAG accessibility standards.
• Uphold web development best practices, including mobile-first responsive design, Core Web Vitals performance standards, and SEO hygiene.
• Maintain proficiency in current and emerging web technologies; familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is preferred and will be considered an asset.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in web development and interface design.
• Demonstrated experience developing and customizing WordPress environments, including the creation of custom themes and plugins.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript (ES6+); familiarity with modern frameworks such as Vue.js or React is a plus.
• Solid understanding of PHP, WordPress back-end architecture, and RESTful API integrations.
• Proficiency in version control using Git and familiarity with CI/CD deployment workflows; experience with browser-based debugging tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools) required.
• Experience utilizing Asana for project tracking, task management, and cross-functional coordination.
• UI/UX sensibility with an understanding of user-centered design principles; proficiency with Figma or Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and manage multiple concurrent projects independently.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) is preferred.
