POSITION OVERVIEW:
Coastal Carolina University's Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences is seeking a highly motivated and creative student marketing assistant to support its marketing initiatives.
This position will play a key role in developing engaging digital and print marketing content with a strong focus on storytelling, assisting in the creation of promotional materials, and elevating the college's visibility and reach. The role will also support the design and/or editing of marketing collateral such as academic and event flyers, rack cards, brochures, invitations, and other promotional materials - and may include photographing events and activities to support content development.
The student marketing assistant position offers valuable, hands-on experience in promoting Spadoni College's academic programs; centers and initiatives; and student, faculty, and alumni accomplishments to a broad local, regional, and national audience. It is an excellent opportunity for students interested in digital marketing, communications, or media production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Brainstorm, develop, and execute compelling digital and print marketing content for web, newsletters, and promotional campaigns.
โ€ข Create and edit content such as photos, video, interviews, and short articles.
โ€ข Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and alumni to highlight key Spadoni College initiatives and events.
โ€ข Work with the college's marketing and communication coordinator to ensure all materials align with branding and messaging guidelines.
โ€ข Assist with the promotion of various campaigns and strategic college initiatives.
โ€ข Support additional marketing projects as requested.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
โ€ข Experience creating engaging digital content including photos, graphics, videos, interviews, and short articles.
โ€ข Proficiency in photo and video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, Canva, or similar).
โ€ข Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
