Job description

Under the direction of the Vice President, Marketing, the Regional Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing, implementing and managing marketing campaigns for assigned portfolio. He or she plays a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space as well as driving website traffic and acquiring leads/customers.  This role is remote in the VA/DC/MD area, with occasional visits to our McLean, VA Corporate Office. 


  • Develop and review marketing & media plans, campaigns, budgets and strategies for assigned portfolio
  • Partner with operations teams to analyze local market trends and make strategic marketing recommendations
  • Oversee and manage the development of creative communication pieces, promotional materials, presentations, websites, and report materials for an assigned portfolio
  • Advance the overall quality of strategic thinking, creative direction and technology use to maximize the marketing program effectiveness in meeting growth and cost savings goals set by the company
  • Use analytics data to suggest ways to increase presence and capture leads; works with internal team to implement and make necessary updates
  • Track, monitor and report on lead sources, traffic and campaign effectiveness
  • Stay abreast of competition and real estate marketing trends
  • Work with Regional Managers and Property Managers to monitor community marketing initiatives in accordance with the strategic plan and adjust based on specific needs to maximize traffic
  • Travel to designated sub-markets for in person marketing assessments and consultation as needed
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of on-line marketing channels

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in property management or marketing is required
  • Experience leading a team or broad marketing initiatives/projects is highly preferred
  • Strong writing skills, to effectively communicate your brand’s message
  • Data analysis skills, to extract value from reporting tools
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage projects/tasks spanning multiple departments
  • Proven success in crafting and implementing innovative ideas and concepts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and transportation
  • This job is 100% remote, but may require a visit to a local property site

***Target annual base salary compensation range, based on portfolio region is $85,000 - $95,000***
