Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Marketing Researcher / Market Research Contractor to support the Services organization within a leading financial software company, focused on Workforce and Money offerings.

This role will support do-it-yourself research projects across both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The contractor will be responsible for programming and launching surveys, supporting quick-turn research requests, helping analyze and summarize findings, and building standardized tools, templates, and processes to make research execution faster and more consistent across the team.

This is an execution-focused role best suited for someone who enjoys building surveys, running studies independently, working with stakeholders, organizing research workflows, and creating repeatable research assets. The role will also support the team in exploring AI tools and documenting research best practices.

The client is a leading financial software platform that helps businesses manage their finances, payroll, payments, banking, and cash flow needs.

This role sits within the Services organization, supporting Workforce and Money offerings. Workforce includes payroll, HR, and workforce management tools, while Money products include banking, payments, and cash flow solutions for businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program and launch surveys in Qualtrics for ad-hoc and quick-turn research needs.
  • Build and manage survey logic, including branching, display logic, randomization, embedded data, piped text, and quotas.
  • Support qualitative research efforts, including recruiting coordination, interview support, moderating, note-taking, and synthesis of findings.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the Services organization to understand research needs, scope project requests, and recommend appropriate research approaches.
  • Execute qualitative and quantitative research projects independently.
  • Clean, analyze, and summarize research data to support internal reporting and decision-making.
  • Build standardized survey templates to streamline future research requests.
  • Create repeatable research tools, templates, processes, and documentation to improve consistency and speed across the team.
  • Support basic statistical analysis, data visualization, and reporting using tools such as SPSS, DisplayR, Excel, Google Sheets, or similar platforms.
  • Explore and pilot AI tools within the research workflow.
  • Help document AI research best practices for the broader team and organization.
  • Manage multiple research projects simultaneously while ensuring project objectives, timelines, and quality standards are met.
  • Communicate research progress, findings, and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders and vendors.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Statistics, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of market research experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Qualtrics.
  • Advanced Qualtrics experience, including branching, display logic, randomization, embedded data, piped text, and quotas.
  • Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Experience building, launching, and managing surveys independently.
  • Experience cleaning, analyzing, and summarizing research data.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools such as SPSS, DisplayR, Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools.
  • Basic statistical analysis and data visualization experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an execution-focused role.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to partner effectively with internal stakeholders and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting research within SaaS, fintech, payroll, HR, workforce management, banking, payments, or financial services products.
  • Experience supporting both quick-turn and structured research projects.
  • Experience creating standardized survey templates, research playbooks, process documentation, or repeatable research tools.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to support research workflows.
  • Interest in helping define AI best practices for market research teams.
  • Experience working with product, marketing, services, customer experience, or operations stakeholders.
