Job description

WHOLESALE MARKETING MANAGER 

The Wholesale Marketing Manager will play a key role in the planning and activation of wholesale marketing programs. The ideal candidate will elevate the Clarks brand image and drive conversion across the extensive wholesale network of partners focus on Independent Specialty and Regional Chains. This position will play a key role in developing and activating new strategies with focus on in-store, digital and affiliate tactics. Under Clarks new global strategy this role will serve as a strong voice representing the largest global wholesale segment in the organization. Managing the development of seasonal programs, budgets and at least one direct report are key qualifications for this role.

What You'll Do:
  • Contribute to and manage the wholesale marketing strategy and tactical delivery for the Clarks Core business functions.
  • Develop and activate key account and key regional account plans including monitoring of business goals, budget / expenses, and brand building that drives conversion and are consistent with the brands strategy. Evaluate and optimize marketing programs.
  • Create “storytelling” tools that deliver in-store, digital and social engagement and conversion
  • Build cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance, Digital and Creative. These relationships are a key component driving the success of wholesale marketing.
  • Strong understanding of the wholesale marketplace, co-op marketing and competitor landscape.
  • Extremely well organized with the keen sense to adapt to and develop process that drives clarity and results internally and externally.
  • Support Director of Marketing with channel and coop marketing budgets while driving innovation that exceeds program goals.
  • Develop and manage the annual co-op marketing budget. Ensure adherence to program spend, allocation.
  • Focus co-op plan to deliver Clarks specific marketing programs that drive brand building and conversion.
  • Create and activate trade marketing plans for key independent accounts. Deliver best-in-class presence for the Clarks brand through in-store, digital, print and OOH.
  • Work to develop wholesale marketing loyalty and rewards programs.
  • Stakeholder for all marketing planning and delivery at tradeshows/pre-lines and customer meetings.
  • Ownership of delivering in-store environment assets to wholesale customers.
  • Oversee trade brand collateral and deliver brand consistency and image across all touch points.
  • Maintain all seasonal brand assets on the Clarks B2B website.
  • Measure, report and optimize all trade marketing programs… Apply rigor to process and timelines.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or business management
  • Working knowledge of marketing project management process
  • Strong understanding of the wholesale/Retail marketplace (preferably within footwear or apparel)
  • Direct experience with co-op marketing and trade marketing (this is not a brand marketing role)
  • Innovative thinker who is excited to bring new ways of working into the business
  • Knowledge of analyzing basic expenses versus budget and marketing program results to provide input and recommendations for improvements
  • Must be able to travel domestically approx. 20% (some night and weekend travel required)
  • Energetic, passionate individual who can successfully build relationships and deliver results to the business.
