Switzerland Tourism is the marketing organization for the national and international promotion of Switzerland as a vacation, travel and convention destination. Each day, the 280 employees at our Zurich headquarters and in 35 offices in 21 markets use innovative and unconventional means to market Switzerland as an especially attractive and diverse travel destination.

Project Manager Marketing North America Does a New York based position in the tourism industry excite you?

As Project Manager Marketing North America (100%) you are based in New York and report to the Head of Campaigning & Activation North America. You share responsibility for the successful marketing of Switzerland as a holiday and travel destination in the US and Canada. Working with internal and external partners, you help develop, design and orchestrate targeted marketing campaigns and tactics for our B2C audience.

Your area of responsibility

  • Implement Switzerland Tourism’s marketing and communication strategy by designing, implementing and analyzing integrated campaigns with the North American team, market partners and head office in Zurich
  • Ensure a consistent brand experience across channels and communication activities
  • Manage ST North America digital channels, including MySwitzerland.com/na and e-newsletters, and actively support national social media campaigns
  • Work closely with the Campaigning & Activation team and coordinate with investing market partners
  • Develop and adapt creatives for B2C and B2B tactics in line with ST corporate design guidelines
  • Create print creatives such as ads and invitations
  • Carry out administrative duties related to Campaigning & Activation, including database maintenance and reporting
  • Monitor campaigns and support achievement of yearly defined KPIs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Campaigning & Activation

Our Expectations

  • Higher education in marketing, communication or tourism (Uni/FH)
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience, preferably in marketing, PR or campaigning, with a strong affinity for digital marketing tools, trends and storytelling
  • High degree of motivation and flexibility, with the ability to handle varied workloads and tasks
  • Affinity for creative and eye-catching marketing ideas and concepts
  • Excellent oral and written English and good knowledge of German, French or Italian
  • Strong project management and coordination skills
  • Strong sense of visual aesthetics, layout and graphic composition
  • Experience with graphic and design programs such as InDesign and video editing is advantageous, or willingness to develop these skills
  • Confident appearance and diplomatic negotiation skills
  • Curious, versatile, customer- and partner-oriented team player with a high degree of independence
  • Very good knowledge of Switzerland as a travel and holiday destination
  • Swiss citizenship due to visa regulations
