The Harrison Group is seeking two motivated and creative Marketing Interns to support our hospitality portfolio - one based in our Ocean City, Maryland market and one in our Virginia Beach, Virginia market.
The Harrison Group is a third-generation family-owned business that has been owned and operated in Ocean City, Maryland since 1951. Today, we operate over fifteen hotels and seven restaurants across Ocean City, Maryland; Virginia Beach, Virginia; Corolla, North Carolina; and Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Our portfolio is continuously evolving, with annual renovations and reinvestment across our properties to enhance guest experiences and maintain our commitment to exceptional hospitality.
This internship provides hands-on experience supporting marketing initiatives in dynamic, tourism-driven markets. Interns will work closely with the Director of Marketing and cross-functional property teams to assist in campaign execution, digital engagement, content development, and performance tracking. This role offers practical exposure to hospitality marketing within a growing, multi-market organization committed to continual improvement and expansion.

Basic Purpose:
The Marketing Intern supports the execution of marketing initiatives across Harrison Group properties and corporate platforms. This role assists in campaign development, content creation, digital engagement, and performance analysis while gaining hands-on experience in hospitality marketing.
Working alongside the marketing team, the intern contributes to brand visibility, guest engagement, and revenue-driving initiatives while developing practical skills in a professional environment.
Organizational Scope:
Harrison Group is a multi-property hospitality organization operating hotels and restaurants across multiple markets. The Marketing Intern collaborates with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Food & Beverage teams to support property-level and corporate marketing initiatives.
This role assists in digital marketing, social media management, campaign execution, content development, and marketing analytics.
Essential Functions:
1. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across social media, email, website, and other digital channels.
2. Create engaging content including social media posts, short-form video, blog content, email copy, and promotional materials aligned with brand standards.
3. Monitor and engage with company social media platforms, responding to comments and messages to maintain a professional and positive brand presence.
4. Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and provide insights to strengthen marketing strategies.
5. Support the planning and coordination of promotional events, activations, and on-property marketing initiatives.
6. Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement, conversion rates, and campaign performance metrics.
7. Maintain marketing databases and digital assets to ensure accurate and consistent messaging.
8. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to support brand growth and audience engagement.
9. Support cross-departmental initiatives by collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Food & Beverage teams on promotional efforts.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Experience:
1. Academic coursework or prior internship experience in marketing, communications, or digital media preferred.
2. Familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X.
3. Exposure to content creation, basic analytics, or campaign execution preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
1. Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
2. Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
3. Basic understanding of marketing principles and digital engagement strategies.
