Position at Consumer Tech
The Opportunity:
CNET Group is seeking an experienced Integrated Marketing Manager with a passion for maximizing revenue through strategic and highly customized media programs built for top tier advertising clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital advertising platforms and the media landscape with experience in entertainment, lifestyle, or tech media publishing. You have a passion for working cross functionally to come up with a customized strategy that solves the client's problems, using a massive suite of solutions at CNG. You are a seasoned storyteller and take ownership of deckbuilding as the medium to visually communicate complex and multi-pronged programs and solutions.
As a key member of the Marketing, Strategy & Solutions team, this Manager role brings a strategic approach to packaging and positioning the CNG product suite, tentpoles and seasonal offerings, to deliver unique and exciting programs that drive impact for advertisers. This role liaises with product, design, audience development, affiliate commerce, sales, research, branded content, and editorial to distill the value of CNG and drive digital transformations for our top vertical target accounts. This role will offer a career-driven marketer the opportunity for ongoing exposure to Sales & Marketing Leadership.
With hero publishing brands like CNET, Mashable, & PCMag, this is a role that has depth and high innovation potential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Be our resident client strategist and storyteller, crafting cross platform, custom programs leveraging our full suite of solutions to drive impact and value for our advertiser partners.
  • Lead in-bound sales efforts for top strategic accounts: respond to RFPs in various formats including decks, one-sheets, write-ups and client presentation meetings.
  • Understand the value that data and insights have in storytelling and utilize them to drive home why CNG is a must-buy.
  • Contribute to the development of messaging and brand narratives based on the strategy, goals, key trends, competitive landscape, points of differentiation, and audiences within the CNG portfolio of publishing brands.
  • Liaise with our Editorial and Sales Development teams to consult revenue opportunities and provide marketplace feedback
  • Lead marketing solution training sessions on new offerings, editorial tentpoles and cross-channel efforts.
  • Partner closely with account executives to grow revenue among key accounts, non-endemic verticals, and help close repeat business and extended partnerships.

Job Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in industry, solutions, or product marketing in the media advertising industry (i.e., traditional media, social platforms, digital media).
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital media planning components and campaign architecture.
  • Specific experience in the post-sale project management and execution of custom video and social media programs.
  • Proven experience in developing compelling marketing assets and sales tools including presentations, industry briefs, solution briefs and recaps.
  • Comfortable utilizing data sets from 3rd party research tools like ComScore and 1st party data, along with the know-how to develop performance benchmarks.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of individuals, both inside and outside the company.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to thrive in high-pressure, time-sensitive scenarios and experience working in project and collateral management platforms like Asana, Gemini, SFDC, etc.
  • A humble but ambitious style of collaboration with team members within marketing and across sales.
  • Understanding of affiliate marketing, a plus.
