Responsibilities
Sr. Business Strategy & Operations Analyst

What You'll Get To Do:
The Sr. Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting the company's business planning, performance management, and strategic initiatives to drive sustainable growth. This role leads the analysis of business performance, development of business plans and forecasts, and coordination of cross-functional initiatives across Sales, Product Management, and Finance. The position plays a key role in supporting the FY27 SAP implementation, business process transformation, and strategic planning activities. The Planning Analyst provides actionable business insights, facilitates alignment between North America and Japan business division, and contributes to the development and execution of both strategic and tactical plans to achieve the company's objectives.
Business Planning & Performance Management
  • Lead business planning and performance management activities to support the company's strategic objectives and
    long-term growth.
  • Develop annual business plans, rolling forecasts, KPI dashboards, and management reviews.
  • Analyze business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to management for
    decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and business divisions to align business strategies and
    execution plans.

Strategic Analysis & Forecasting
  • Develop demand forecasts, sales outlooks, and scenario analyses utilizing data from SAP, CRM, and other
    business systems.
  • Monitor key business indicators including sales, inventory, backlog, and pipeline performance.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business growth.

SAP Implementation & Business Process Transformation
  • Serve as a key Planning representative for the FY27 SAP implementation project.
  • Coordinate business requirements, testing activities, user training, and process alignment across departments.
  • Drive business process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives utilizing SAP and other digital tools.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for planning processes, reporting structures, and business workflows.

Executive Reporting & Headquarters Coordination
  • Lead coordination of planning-related communications, meetings, and reporting activities with Japan business
    divisions.
  • Support executive discussions through data-driven analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Act as a liaison between North America and Japan to ensure alignment on business priorities, performance targets, and strategic initiatives.

Scope:
  • Reports to Planning Director and Manager
  • No direct reports, individual contributor.
  • Plays a key role in providing the necessary information and analysis for the company to formulate its business
    plans and objectives.

Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
Education & Experience:
  • A four-year degree in business/marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Planning Analyst, in Supply Chain, or an equivalent role.
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
  • Japanese speaking reading and writing is required

Competencies: Key desired behaviors, e.g., problem solving, innovation, collaboration, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data modeling, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charting).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of cultural diversity.
  • Strong problem solving, communication and collaboration skills

Communications: Key communications contacts (internal/external) and level of persuasion required
  • Good communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a strong drive for professional growth and self-improvement
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is required to ensure seamless communication and coordination
    with the headquarters in Japan.

Other Requirements: e.g., working conditions, physical requirements, travel, etc.
  • Ability to adapt to scheduled meetings with the Japan team (twice a week) to accommodate time zone differences.

The wage range of $93,000 - $103,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
