Status: Full-Time

Position Overview

The Marketing & Communications Associate supports the marketing, communications, and business development efforts for Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE). This role is responsible for providing support for producing, coordinating, and maintaining marketing and qualification materials that support pursuit activity, client outreach, and brand visibility. The Marketing & Communications Associate works closely with engineers, project managers, department leadership, and senior marketing staff to translate technical services and project experience into clear, compliant, and brand-consistent communications.

The Marketing & Communications Associate reports to the Corporate Marketing & Communications Manager and supports BLE’s Marketing & Communications Specialist.

This position is execution-focused and requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing or communications; experience within an AEC or professional services firm preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Adobe InDesign and Photoshop required; familiarity with broader Adobe Creative Suite and Canva preferred.
  • Proficiency with WordPress required, specifically for content and site management, experience with site configuration and design preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to edit technical content for clarity and consistency.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines in a consulting environment.

Core Responsibilities

Website Management

  • Maintain the development and maintenance of website content, including service pages, project pages, blog content, and team profiles.
  • Provide third-party website and SEO partner coordination for content updates, optimizations, and publishing schedules.
  • Obtain technical review and approval from project managers and department leaders prior to publishing content.
  • Support development of digital content that aligns marketing activity with business development goals.

Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) & Proposal Support

  • Develop, format, and assemble SOQs and qualification packages in accordance with client, agency, and procurement requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and department leaders to gather resumes, project descriptions, and technical content.
  • Maintain SOQ templates, project experience libraries, and standardized content to support efficient pursuit execution.
  • Support agency-specific qualification formats, including SF330s and similar submittal requirements.

Resume & Qualifications Management

  • Maintain and update employee resumes for proposals, SOQs, and marketing use.
  • Support the preparation and updating of staff bios, career summaries, and project experience narratives in coordination with technical staff.
  • Ensure resume and project information is current, accurate, and consistent across all marketing platforms and databases.

Marketing Content & Brand Execution

  • Assist with creating, editing, and formatting marketing materials including proposals, presentations, resumes, brochures, flyers, banners, templates, and digital assets.
  • Ensure all marketing and communications materials comply with established brand standards, visual identity, and messaging guidelines.
  • Assist in the management of internal graphic design and marketing requests across each of the firm’s departments.

Market Research & Target Client Support

  • Support market and client research for marketing efforts across the firm’s service lines and geographic markets.
  • Organize and support maintenance of lists of strategic clients, agencies, and partners using criteria provided by business development and department leadership for Mailing and Christmas Lists and events.
  • Maintain association, conference, and industry contact lists and events calendar relevant to firm marketing and business development initiatives.

Photography & Visual Asset Management

  • Coordinate with project managers to capture project site video/photography in accordance with site requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining professional employee headshots for proposals, website, social media, and marketing use.
  • Organize, label, and maintain digital video/photography and visual assets for accessibility and long-term use.

Events, Conferences & Outreach

  • Provide assistance in preparing marketing collateral and materials for conferences, career fairs, client meetings, and industry events.
  • Support the coordination of logistics, schedules, and marketing support before and after events.
  • Support planning and execution of firm-hosted events such as office openings, open houses, and milestone celebrations.

Swag, Signage & Printed Materials

  • Assist in managing branded swag requests, including design coordination, vendor communication, production tracking, and fulfillment.
  • Support the design and coordination of printing and installation of office signage, event signage, and jobsite signage.
  • Maintain inventory of marketing materials and coordinate reorders as needed.

Asset, Data & Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized marketing servers, SharePoint folders, templates, and document libraries.
  • Track website contact form submissions and provide monthly summaries of spam versus business inquiries.
  • Support annual client gift and holiday card coordination, including contact list updates, ordering, and distribution tracking.
