Job description

Marketing Communications and Experience Specialist

Springfield, IL, United States

Job Description

The Marketing Communications and Experience Specialistwill manage intake and development of corporate communications and copyediting for all print and digital media; including, but not limited to, newsletters, press releases, web and social media content, advertising copy, patient letters and education materials for the internal and external marketing and communication needs of Springfield Clinic. This position will also play a key role on the patient experience team to review patient comments, provide follow-up,monitortrendsand deliver in-person and virtual patient experience training to support all Clinic locations. This role is part of the Brand & Experience team based on the Main Campus of Springfield Clinic in Springfield, Illinois.

Job Relationships

Reports to the Director, Experience and Strategic Communication

  • Develop an understanding andknowledgeof health care and patient experience industry terms, relevanttopicsandtrends.
  • Responsible for communication needs intake from clients to develop, produce, copyedit and round for approval and distributionon tight deadlines.
  • Partner with graphic design team to develop visual communication, infographics, training,employeeandpatient education materials.
  • Ensure accuracy of material throughadditionalresearch, editingandescalateproofsto clients until all approvals are secured.
  • Responsible use of AItoolsto amplifycommunication strategyandcontent management.
  • Build strong client relationships across all Clinic departments providing exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with clients and Brand & Experience team members in brainstorming sessions to develop creative concepts for marketing initiatives and patient experience programs.
  • Use creative and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and guide stakeholders.
  • Organize, manage, coordinate and complete multiple & simultaneous project tasks on deadline using team tasking tools.
  • Additionalresponsibilities may include providing patient education,trainingand support for our patient portal.
  • Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
  • Adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism, business, politicalscienceor related concentrationrequired.
  • Minimum2-5yearsof professional writing, communications and/or editing experience preferred.
  • Highly proficient in content marketing,copyeditingand writing for all types of print and digital platformsrequired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple communication and patient experience tasks and simultaneous projects.
  • Desire to work well infast-paced environmentrequired.
  • Must be highly detail-oriented,organizedand able to delivera high levelof accuracy and efficiency.
  • Confidence and interest in using public speaking skills to deliver patient experience training sessions.
  • Dynamic, creative, challenging and growing team environment that requires delivery of accurate, creative, timely and cost-effective solutions for our clients.
  • Normal office environment, remote work as needed.
  • Minimal travel required, mileage reimbursement available for offsite training.
  • Computer intensive.
  • Requires some medium lifting and bending.
