Business Development Manager - Law Firm (Bergen County, NJ)
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join the Marketing Department of a law firm based in Bergen County, New Jersey. This role will report to senior marketing leadership and is responsible for executing strategic marketing and business development initiatives to support practice group growth and client development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute marketing and business development strategies aligned with practice group goals and firm objectives
  • Track, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of marketing and business development initiatives
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and market research, including analysis of industry trends, clients, and target prospects
  • Prepare detailed reports, briefs, and presentations to support business development efforts
  • Maintain and update experience and credentials databases
  • Coordinate and develop responses to RFPs, proposals, and client presentations
  • Continuously improve pitch materials, processes, and overall go-to-market strategies
  • Ensure consistency and efficiency of marketing efforts across multiple offices
  • Track and analyze proposal outcomes and identify trends to improve win rates
  • Develop and create marketing collateral to support practice group positioning
  • Manage submissions for industry rankings and awards in coordination with external PR partners
  • Partner directly with attorneys and leadership to drive business development initiatives and deliver high-quality service
  • Proactively recommend new strategies and outreach efforts to engage target audiences

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of marketing or business development experience

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
