About Us

Anishnawbe GZhiitoonegamic (AGic), meaning Peoples Place of Building, is an indigenous women-led social enterprise located at 300 Archer Drive in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. The enterprise offers a transformative solution to the housing crisis facing Indigenous and Northern communities. Emerging from the Keepers of the Circle and grounded in Indigenous values AGic provides low-carbon, energy-efficient modular homes that are not only affordable and climate-resilient but also culturally grounded and community-informed.

Summary of Position

The Sales and Marketing Lead is responsible for driving business growth while raising awareness and visibility of the enterprises work, combining strategic sales and management with targeted marketing and community engagement.


Reporting to the Plant General Manager and working closely with other department leads, this position helps ensure that AGics offerings reach the right audiences and that relationships with communities and partners are strong, respectful, and aligned with the values of the enterprise.


This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position based on-site in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. The starting salary will be determined based on experience, and the start date for this position will be discussed further during the interview process.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, or Communications.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development, ideally within housing, construction, manufacturing, or social enterprise sectors.
  • Experience working in an Indigenous workplace and knowledge about the Indigenous culture and people considered an asset.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, written, and presentation skills to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Highly organized with exceptional time management, follow-through, and attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Proficient with technology and office softwares, CRMs, and digital marketing tools, with the ability to leverage technology to support the enterprises goals.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and able to thrive in a small, mission-driven, values-focused team environment while contributing positively to workplace culture.


Roles and Responsibilities

Sales

  • Lead outreach to Indigenous communities, municipalities, and organizations seeking sustainable housing solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle by following through with inquiries, proposals, estimates, follow-ups, and closing.
  • Develop and maintain a CRM or tracking system to monitor leads, contacts, and outcomes.
  • Support pricing, quotations, and contract development in coordination with operations and leadership.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with Indigenous leadership, community partners, and regional stakeholders.
  • Sales-focused relationship building by representing AGic at meetings, conferences, and housing events.
  • Monitor progress toward sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • Provide input on emerging market opportunities and trends in Indigenous and Northern housing.


Marketing

  • Develop marketing campaigns and materials that reflect AGics values and promote its offerings.
  • Coordinate website updates, digital content, social media, and print materials.
  • Support event participation, presentations, and trade shows to raise visibility.
  • Highlight success stories and community impact through outreach.
  • Community engagement with a communications lens.
