Job description

Come help us tell our story! We are looking for a creative and self-motivated student to help us craft our message on social media in a way that will engage the people of New Mexico. 

The Center for Regional Studies (CRS) is seeking to fill the position of Marketing Assistant. The candidate hired for this position will focus on creating engaging digital content, supporting social media strategy, and promoting CRS. Primary duties will be to publish content to our social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. The Marketing Assistant will capture video and photo content to be edited and used for digital channels at CRS events and promotional efforts. The successful candidate will assist in the development of a social media campaign that increases awareness of CRS and enhances engagement from the general public and our university community. We are looking for a candidate who can monitor social media trends and recommend strategies that foster engagement and awareness. The Marketing Assistant will update parts of the CRS website. The hired candidate  will serve as a liaison to UNM's greater media producers and will boost our own social media on UNM sites as well as on relevant public sites. Part of promoting CRS will be to engage with UNM news producers, such as University Communication and Marketing. The Marketing Assistant will assist in creating and distributing physical promotional materials, such as posters and flyers, on campus and throughout the community. The hired candidate will represent CRS at outreach events in order to promote CRS. The Assistant will also complete other duties as assigned.
