Job description

As the Student Marketeer Team Lead (SMTL), you will support the Field Marketing Specialist (FMS) in driving brand image and product trial in your market, in addition to your role as a Student Marketeer (SM). Your primary functions are to assist the FMS and SM efforts in your market, support key areas of student marketeer tool management, planning & in-field/on-campus execution. You will support the FMS planning efforts to build brand awareness on campus, increase sales in-market and on campus, and drive product trial (direct/indirect). You are responsible for providing feedback on campus & in-market activities, and acting as a support in team recruitment, onboarding, training, and activations.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • FMS AND TEAM SUPPORT
    Support your team in the field through demonstration of expert Brand and Product knowledge
    Support FMS in motivating and inspiring SMs in the field and the office
    Contribute to trial driving focuses designed to grow the user base, on and around campus
    Assist the FMS in building activities in line with Regional + National priorities & strategy
    Share ideas to innovate in bringing the World of Red Bull to life on campus
    Support the process for sampling and university planning, scheduling, and feedback
    Occasionally participate in National marketing planning or brainstorming sessions
  • EXECUTIONAL EXCELLENCE
    Demonstrate the 8-step sampling technique in-field during SM missions, showcasing what executional excellence looks like
    On-shift, provide in-field coaching to fellow Student Marketeers to support driving trial and bringing the brand to life in a premium way, both on campus and in-market
    Support the FMS in ensuring Campus Sales Audits are complete and up to date in RBU
    Demonstrate the Ace of Sales techniques in the field during SM Missions, showcasing the P.I.P.E. technique
    Reinforce FMS guidance and deadlines around RBU portal, and provide feedback to ensure aligned & successful plans
    Occasionally attend cross-functional or cell team meetings to collaborate with the sales team
    Manage Student Marketeer Sampling & Seeding inventory and ordering (via local process or FGT)
    Coordinate regular Mini fleet maintenance and fuel card management via Fleet Management
    Support the FMS with any scheduling or coordination involved with warehouse management
    Provide monthly analysis to FMS on the status of all branded assets (i.e., Mini Coopers, Clothing, Backpacks, etc.)
  • RECRUITMENT, ONBOARDING, AND TRAINING
    Share ideas with FMS for monthly team meetings, areas of opportunity, and coaching needs
    Support training of new Student Marketeers
    Collaborate with FMS to develop a market-level recruitment plan, with a campus-focused approach
    Execute recruitment missions alongside fellow Student Marketeers, highlighting the importance
    Support monthly training on execution standards, best practice sharing, and competitive trend analysis on campus

EXPERIENCE

  • Must be currently assigned the Student Marketeer - Generalist role with at least 6 months of experience as a Student Marketeer (formerly SMSU, Wing, or SBM)
  • Proven ability to lead a project and motivate team members
  • Passion for the Brand and demonstrated ambassador of both Brand and Product knowledge
  • A desire to coach fellow Student Marketeers
  • Able to work flexible part-time hours, including some nights and weekends
  • University/college enrollment
