Job description

Responsibilities
Walter P Moore is seeking for an individual with the requisite skill set to join our national consulting engineering practice as a Business Developer II for Infrastructure Group Services.As a Business Developer II, you will play a key role in identifying, developing, and strengthening business opportunities within your assigned operating group or market sector. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional partners, you will support strategic business development initiatives, build client relationships, conduct market research, and help position the firm for continued growth.
In this position, the qualified individual will have the following responsibilities for the Civil, Public Works and Traffic Engineering Groups within the Infrastructure Division, primarily responsible for the Tulsa, Austin and Dallas offices:
  • Support the development of annual marketing and business development plans and budgets.
  • Participate in proposal and RFQ response activities.
  • Conduct market research, gather project data, and prepare BD reports.
  • Coordinate positioning activities and attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities (regional and national travel as needed).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including gathering client feedback.
  • Generate new business for the organization, aligned with your group's strategic objectives.
  • Actively participate in key industry organizations to advance strategic goals.
  • Prepare monthly client contact reports and action items.
  • Assist in BD coordination meetings across service groups.
  • Gather information, images, and audiovisual materials to support presentations.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Provide statements of qualifications for clients.

This is a hybrid-role.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 Years of Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field (required)
  • Experience in business development, marketing, or engineering, ideally within the industry
  • Proven ability to perform client development and business development functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities; able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite; strong competency with resource planning and financial tools
  • Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively across teams
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and adapt quickly to new learning
