Job description

Business Analyst, Market Intelligence

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Company: Orchestra Life Sciences

Reports to: Managing Director

Employment Type: Full-Time

About Orchestra Life Sciences

Orchestra Life Sciences (OLS) is a specialized technical advisory consultancy serving the radiopharmaceutical, cell and gene therapy, and broader advanced therapies sectors. We partner with developers, manufacturers, investors, and strategic stakeholders to navigate the complex intersection of GMP manufacturing, regulatory strategy, supply chain, and commercial scale-up. Our team brings deep sector expertise and a hands-on approach to accelerating client programs from development through commercialization.

Role Summary

OLS is seeking a high-impact Business Analyst, Market Intelligence to support our growing strategic advisory practice. This individual will serve as the analytical engine behind OLS’s most consequential client engagements and internal intelligence products — producing rigorous, insight-rich research across the advanced therapies landscape. The ideal candidate combines deep command of data and forecasting tools with the intellectual curiosity to connect macro trends, clinical pipeline signals, competitive dynamics, and policy shifts into clear, executive-ready intelligence.

This role operates at the intersection of science, strategy, and business — and requires someone who is equally comfortable building a bottom-up demand model and presenting key takeaways to a CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Market & Competitive Intelligence

•         Track and synthesize clinical pipeline developments across radiopharmaceuticals, cell and gene therapy, and adjacent advanced modalities, including IND filings, trial initiations, phase progressions, and approval timelines

•         Build and maintain competitive landscapes covering sponsors, CDMOs, isotope producers, platform developers, and service providers

•         Monitor and analyze M&A activity, licensing deals, strategic partnerships, and investment flows across the sector

•         Identify white space opportunities, emerging therapeutic targets, and platform technology shifts relevant to OLS clients

Data Analysis & Forecasting

•         Develop quantitative models for market sizing, demand forecasting, capacity analysis, and revenue projection across therapeutic isotopes, drug programs, and enabling technologies

•         Apply forecasting methodologies (CAGR modeling, scenario analysis, regression, Monte Carlo) to support client recommendations and strategic planning deliverables

•         Synthesize data from proprietary, public, and commercial sources (clinical registries, FDA/EMA databases, earnings calls, investor presentations, scientific literature) into structured, reproducible analytical frameworks

•         Perform value chain and margin analysis, including per-dose economics, pricing benchmarking, and supply/demand gap modeling

Regulatory & Policy Monitoring

•         Track FDA, EMA, and international regulatory agency guidance, final rules, draft guidances, and enforcement trends relevant to advanced therapies manufacturing and drug development

•         Monitor REMS programs, CMC requirements, sterility frameworks, and quality system developments impacting client programs

•         Summarize policy and reimbursement landscape trends, including CMS coverage decisions, ICER analyses, and global pricing dynamics

Funding & Macro Landscape

•         Synthesize venture capital, private equity, and strategic investment trends across the advanced therapies and nuclear medicine ecosystems

•         Monitor government funding programs, DOE/DOD initiatives, NCI grants, and international public sector investment in radiopharmaceuticals and advanced modalities

•         Track macroeconomic and geopolitical factors impacting supply chains, manufacturing infrastructure, and global isotope production

Deliverable Production & Presentation

•         Translate complex, multi-source analysis into polished executive-level deliverables — including PowerPoint presentations, briefing documents, landscape reports, and data visualizations — aligned to OLS brand standards

•         Develop slide decks, one-pagers, and strategic summaries suitable for CEO, board, and investor audiences

•         Collaborate with OLS advisors and Managing Director to package intelligence into client-ready materials with clear narrative arcs and actionable takeaways

•         Support business development efforts with tailored market intelligence, sector briefings, and prospect-specific research

Qualifications

Required

•         3–6 years of experience in market intelligence, business analysis, strategic consulting, or a related analytical role, preferably within life sciences, biotech, or healthcare

•         Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis and forecasting; ability to build robust, documented models in Excel or equivalent tools

•         Strong command of data synthesis across disparate sources — clinical databases (ClinicalTrials.gov, IQVIA, Evaluate), regulatory dockets, SEC filings, earnings transcripts, and scientific publications

•         Excellent written communication skills; ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling executive summaries and narrative frameworks

•         Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, health economics, or a related quantitative field

Preferred

•         Direct exposure to radiopharmaceuticals, nuclear medicine, cell and gene therapy, or advanced biologics — through industry, consulting, or academic research

•         Advanced presentation skills; experience designing polished, branded slide decks (PowerPoint, Keynote) for senior or investor audiences

•         Familiarity with GMP manufacturing concepts, CDMO ecosystems, clinical-to-commercial scale-up, or regulatory submissions (IND, NDA, BLA, MAA)

•         Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Python/R for analytics) and/or CRM/research platforms

•         Graduate degree (M.S., MBA, MPH, or Ph.D.) in a relevant discipline

•         Prior consulting or advisory firm experience, including deliverable-driven project environments

What We Offer

•         Direct exposure to some of the most consequential programs in the advanced therapies sector — from commercial-stage radiopharmaceuticals to next-generation isotope supply infrastructure

•         A lean, high-performance team where your analysis shapes client strategy at the executive level

•         Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, with performance-based upside

•         Flexible remote work environment with collaborative, engaged colleagues who operate at the forefront of the field

•         Meaningful professional development opportunities as OLS scales its intelligence and advisory capabilities

How to Apply

Qualified candidates should submit a resume and a brief cover letter describing their experience with market intelligence, data analysis, and any relevant advanced therapies exposure to careers@orchestralifesciences.com. Please include examples of analytical or presentation work where available.
