Job description

Savannah Riverboat Cruises is seeking a dependable and versatile Maritime Maintenance Technician to help maintain our vessels, facilities, and grounds. This hands-on position involves a variety of maintenance, repair related to the vessel(s). This includes mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, electrical.

Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of vessels, docks, buildings, equipment, and facilities.
  • Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, mechanical, and diesel engine maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized vessels, workspaces, machinery areas, and public spaces.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on vessel mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Maintain tools, parts, filters, and maintenance resources; document and complete tasks through the company maintenance system.
  • Assist with vessel preparation for USCG inspections, dry docks, emergency drills, and crew training.
  • Follow all company policies, safety, security, environmental, and USCG regulations.
  • Support special projects, material handling, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Maritime maintenance technician experience required.
  • Expert knowledge of general hand and power tools.
  • Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to help wherever needed.
  • Will need to pass a pre-employment drug test and background test.
  • Excited to work on the iconic Savannah Riverboats - Georgia Queen amp; Savannah River Queen

Schedule

  • Full-time position - 35-50 hours a week.
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and special events as needed.
