We are currently seeking a Junior Database Management Analyst located in the Washington, D.C. area.

What you’ll do:

The Junior Database Management Analyst will provide data analytics support to PAE Maritime/SEA 21, the U.S. Navy's program office for Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, test, implement, and coordinate changes to computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
  • Maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
  • Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.  
  • Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines.  
  • Coordinate, monitor, and execute data calls to gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders. Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action. 
  • Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation
  • Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items
  • Assist in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations
  • Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required
  • Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients. These requirements are subject to change without advance notice at the discretion of MBC and MBC’s clients

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience providing data analytics support to U.S. Navy program offices
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance
  • Associate’s degree in math, science, engineering, or related field from an institution accredited in the United States
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
