Job description

Job Description
This position provides a broad range of analytical and project management support to the Maritime Operations department. The role directly impacts the Health, Environmental, Safety and Security ("HESS") performance of the Corporation through insightful analysis and transparency of relative performance across the fleet.
Responsibilities
  • Supports the production of periodic reports to facilitate communication of business performance to internal stakeholders and external bodies including monthly/quarterly HESS performance, management incentive program (MIP) data, sustainability reporting (ex. GHG emissions, water usage, power usage), or other focused analysis of a specific HESS area. This requires strong analytical capabilities, time management and planning skills, the ability to visually tell a story with data, and the flexibility to work with a variety of stakeholders and data sources.
  • Quality assurance of Corporate HESS data, including inclusion/retention of aggregated data to facilitate downstream reporting. Has a great attention to detail regarding how data is organized and reviewed for accuracy and meaningfulness.
  • Supports process improvement initiatives on existing reporting efforts by leveraging tools including but not limited to PowerBI, GenAI, Copilot Agents, PowerQuery, Snowflake, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams. Proposes and implements solutions to improve reporting processes.
  • Supports the production of incident data analytics (including root cause analysis) to identify trends and provide insight leading to policy, procedural and/or operational changes. Continuously learns about maritime operations and company policies and procedures in order to make more informed decisions about analytical and reporting responsibilities.
  • Supports regular / ad-hoc analyses of HESS performance indicators to illustrate relative performance and opportunities for improvement. Has an understanding of the meaningfulness of statistics and the communication skills to convey that information to others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in any technical /scientific / mathematical subject. 1-3 years' experience in data management / reporting / analytics (Relevant experience in a maritime operations environment may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree).
  • Preferred Education: Master's Degree.
  • Preferred Experience: Knowledge of maritime operations / management.
  • Excellent computer skills. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint. Experience in PowerBI, Copilot Agents, PowerQuery, Snowflake, some coding (DAX, SQL, Python) or similar software preferred.
  • This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their home on Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
