Job description

Position Summary

Avail is seeking Marine Service Technicians to be part of a hands-on, solutions-driven team that services U.S.Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and commercial vessels. From electric and hydraulicactuation systems to globe and gate valve repairs, your work helps ensure vesselsremain mission-ready, reliable, and operational.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to client vessels and worksites to perform service, repair, maintenance, and certification activities.
  • Diagnose and repair actuator and valve systems, including:
    • Butterfly valves
    • Gate valves
    • Globe valves
  • Perform hydraulic ram and cylinder overhauls.
  • Conduct onboard grooms, equipment assessments, and RMVA installations.
  • Test, inspect, and certify relief valves.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and customer requirements while working aboard vessels and at industrial facilities.

Qualifications

  • Technical aptitude with experience working on mechanical and/or hydraulic systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work aboard ships and in industrial environments.
  • Excellent work ethic with a focus on customer satisfaction and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous U.S. Navy or marine industry experience.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) standards and MIL-SPEC components.
  • Certifications in valve testing, hydraulic systems, or related mechanical disciplines.
