Junior Supply Chain Specialist
Job Description
This position assists with procurement and logistical support for Helix's fleet of vessels, production facilities, project or corporate requirements as assigned
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Providing procurement support for priority C & D REQs of Helix's fleet of vessels, project or corporate requirement as assigned
  • Purchase order placement and follow-up
  • Identify and address invoice issues
  • Sourcing and negotiating material, equipment and services to support projects and/or marine operations, as assigned
  • Support supply chain process implementation and improvement
  • Monitor supplier performance and support relationship management
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for cost savings

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
  • Associates degree preferred, in a field related to supply chain management engineering, or business

Experience:
  • Two (2) or more years' experience in procurement / supply chain of technical materials, equipment and services, with preference for experience in oil and gas, marine industry, or business.

Skills:
Negotiation and contract negotiating skills, with a proven track record of cost savings. Organization and leadership skills.
Special Requirements:
• Always demonstrate good communication between colleague's/clients'/ office.
• Good computer literacy with the use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of company QA and associated procedures.
