Located in the maritime hub of Bellingham, WA, AAM specializes in designing and building advanced, fuel-efficient boats for commercial, research, and passenger transportation.Role ScopeAs an Experienced Marine Electrician, you will support the efficient construction of custom aluminum vessels by delivering reliable, code-aligned electrical systems from rough-in through commissioning. This senior-level role exists to protect quality, safety, and schedule on complex builds.
Key responsibilities include marine electrical installation, routing and securing wireways/penetrations/foundations, terminating and independently testing circuits, and integrating advanced electronics (radar, sounders, AIS, A/V). You will read plans, document work, and coordinate with production to resolve fit-and-finish issues.
Required qualifications/skills:
- 5+ years as an electrician or apprentice; marine experience required
- Ability to terminate and test independently
- Proficiency with advanced marine electronics installation
- Advanced fabrication skills; able to build/install wireways and penetrations without supervision
- Mechanical experience (marine/automotive/diesel or similar)
- Able to work at heights and in tight spaces; safety-focused
- Strong communication, work ethic, and humble, team-oriented approach
- ABYC certification preferred

Throughout the day you'll move between hulls, engine rooms, and console spaces-checking clearances, confirming labeling, and keeping workmanship consistent across systems. You'll coordinate handoffs with other trades, respond to change notes, and keep test results and punch-list updates organized so downstream teams can proceed without rework.
