Your day to day as a Marine Electrician - Level 2
As a Full-Time Marine Electrician - Level 2 at All American Marine, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and commissioning of electrical and electronic equipment and systems. Your essential duties include reading electrical and mechanical diagrams to accurately determine job requirements, installing circuits as directed by supervisors, and conducting thorough tests to identify and repair malfunctions. You'll be responsible for installing AC/DC low voltage systems and assembling electrical components, ensuring compliance with all necessary standards. Safety is paramount; you will work carefully, keeping your workspace clean and orderly.
Strong electrical skills, familiarity with regulations, and a proactive approach to teamwork will set you on a path toward success in this role.
What matters most
To excel as a Full-Time Marine Electrician - Level 2 at All American Marine, candidates must possess a robust set of skills and practical knowledge. A minimum of 2 years of experience is essential, coupled with strong electrical skills and proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical diagrams. Candidates should be adept at independently installing electrical circuits according to project specifications, testing and repairing electrical malfunctions, and installing AC/DC low voltage systems as well as electronic control systems. Fabrication skills are crucial; you should be capable of building wireways and foundations with minimal supervision and be familiar with basic welding techniques. Additionally, a solid understanding of electrical standards, including USCG, ABYC.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an electrician or electrician apprentice
  • Basic knowledge of ABYC standards
  • Able to follow print as laid out by lead
  • Able to terminate under guidance of a lead
  • Fit electrical components under guidance of lead
  • Physical ability to work at heights and tight spaces
