Job description

Mid Atlantic Engineering Technical Services, Inc. (MAETS) is seeking experienced, motivated, and safety-focused shipyard and ship repair professionals to support various ship repair, maintenance, modernization, and installation projects aboard U.S. Navy, Military Sealift Command (MSC), U.S. Coast Guard, and commercial vessels.

We are currently seeking to hire qualified personnel for the following positions:

Minimum Qualifications

Shipyard, marine, industrial, or military maintenance experience preferred.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical manuals, and work specifications applicable to your trade.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and shipyard safety practices.

Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations and shipyards.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background screening, when required.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Security Clearance

Certain positions require an active U.S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance. Candidates who do not currently possess a clearance may be considered for positions requiring the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance, based on contract requirements and eligibility. Applicants should be able to meet all requirements for access to U.S. Government facilities and controlled information, as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting NAVSEA, MSC, U.S. Coast Guard, or commercial ship repair contracts.

Current OSHA 10 certification.

Active Secret Security Clearance.

Relevant trade certifications or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
