What you'll do
You'll oversee the full lifecycle of quality for our telecom and utility construction projects:
  • Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive Quality Control Plans (QCP) utilizing three-phase inspection processes.
  • Field Leadership: Lead boots-on-the-ground QC Technicians and crews. You'll conduct field audits on everything from directional boring to fiber splicing.
  • Expert Oversight: Verify technical workmanship, including OTDR testing, splice loss verification, and backfill compaction.
  • Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for quality, attending project meetings and resolving non-conformance issues directly with clients.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze KPIs (defect rates, rework costs) to find better, faster, and safer ways to work.

  • Experience: 3-5 years in utility construction quality management (or a mix of education and field experience). An Associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in fiber optic construction (aerial/underground), splicing, and testing.
  • Communication: The ability to translate complex contract language and specs into clear instructions for field crews.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient with databases and Google-based applications.
  • Reliability: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

Physical Requirements
  • The Environment: Comfortable working in remote locations and outdoors.
  • The Action: Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs/ladders, and occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime or weekends when the project demands it.
