Are you passionate about academic competition and inspiring students to think critically and collaborate as a team? Telluride School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Knowledge Bowl Coach to lead our high school team for the upcoming season!
Salary: $1599/ year
Responsibilities:
  • Organize and lead regular practices (once a week, during lunch break); Knowledge Bowl Tournaments are once a month starting in October ending in March.
  • Prepare students for regional and state-level Knowledge Bowl competitions
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and academically rigorous team environment
  • Coordinate competition registration, transportation, and logistics
  • Collaborate with school administration and other coaches
  • Serve as a mentor and role model to student participants

Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge across a variety of academic subjects (history, science, literature, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with academic competitions (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to work with high school students and support their academic growth
