Job Summary
Minnesota Housing is hiring! We're a mission-focused financial institution looking for a Data and Reporting Analyst for Post-Closing Systems position to serve as the division's subject matter expert for post - closing data and reporting systems that support construction administration, compliance, loan servicing, and asset management. The role exists to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and usability, supporting critical decision-making and operational efficiency within the Multifamily division while improving reporting processes and system use. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across teams, solve complex data challenges, and make a significant impact by optimizing data management and reporting processes. It's ideal for someone passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights and driving organizational success.
Essential Job Duties
  • Serve as SME for post - closing systems including PORT, MHFA Tracker, LCP Tracker, and related reporting tools, ensuring data integrity and consistent use across the division.
  • Conduct complex data extraction, validation, and analysis using SQL, Python, Access, Excel, and Power BI to support compliance, servicing, asset management, and internal reporting.
  • Lead preparation of repeatable datasets and submissions for Moody's, NCSHA, and other external reports; coordinate timelines and reconcile data with PRE, Finance, and program teams.
  • Respond to data practices requests, ensuring accurate, timely, audit - ready datasets and adherence to privacy and data governance requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance analytical tools, including Access databases, Excel tools, and Power BI dashboards; provide user support and training.
  • Document data structures, definitions, lineage, and authoritative sources; identify and resolve system or data issues and recommend workflow or reporting improvements.
  • Partner closely with the pre - closing Multifamily Data & Reporting Analyst to ensure lifecycle alignment, standardized reporting methods, and redundancy in critical reporting functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all of the minimum qualifications listed below. Ensure that your resume contains descriptions of your work experiences sufficient for comparison against the requirements stated below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in data analysis, data stewardship, and reporting, including advanced use of SQL for data auditing, complex query development, and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes across multiple relational databases.
    • A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, may substitute for 12 months of experience - or - a Associate's degree in the listed fields may substitute for 6 months of experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in report design and development, including authoring complex SQL queries, creating dynamic, automated dashboards using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or an equivalent enterprise-grade reporting platform, and optimizing reports for non-technical audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access including creating and maintaining complex workbooks with dynamic formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and VBA scripting, as well as developing tools and templates that automate data extraction and aggregation processes from multiple file types and systems.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to diagnose data discrepancies, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and enhance data processing workflows for scalability and long-term integrity.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to act as a liaison between business and technical teams. This includes translating business needs into technical requirements for developers and translating complex data concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, confidentiality, and governance principle

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with lifecycle data needs for construction administration, compliance, loan servicing, and asset management.
  • Ability to design or refine reporting workflows, automate processes, and recommend system improvements.
  • Hands-on experience leveraging enterprise content management (ECM) systems to execute structured document processing workflows, metadata management, and enterprise data governance initiatives, ensuring content compliance and alignment with organizational data policies.
  • Experience coordinating or supporting data practices requests, including delivering narrative explanations and audit - ready documentation.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and commitment to equity, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals and communities from diverse backgrounds, integrate cultural considerations into data practices, and ensure data processes support equitable outcomes in program delivery and decision-making.

Physical Requirements
Requires moving office items such as file folders and small office tools.
