Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical GIS Specialist to support utility operations through the development, analysis, and maintenance of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data and mapping solutions. This role is responsible for collecting and interpreting spatial and geographic data from multiple sources to create accurate mapping products, reports, and analytical tools that support business operations and decision-making.
The ideal candidate has strong GIS technical expertise, experience with relational databases and spatial analysis, and the ability to manage multiple projects while supporting both internal and external stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. GIS Data Analysis & Mapping
  2. Collect, interpret, and integrate data from multiple sources including:
    1. Maps, Database tables, Graphs, Satellite and aerial imagery, and Geologic and geographic conditions
  3. Perform spatial analysis utilizing GIS tools and relational database systems
  4. Generate reports, exhibits, and cartographic products to support utility operations and business initiatives
  5. Cartography & Project Support
  6. Develop accurate GIS maps and visual products with initiative and creativity
  7. Maintain project tracking logs for requests, deadlines, and project status updates
  8. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery of work products
  9. Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration
  10. Work closely with internal and external customers to identify operational and public service needs
  11. Produce GIS exhibits and mapping deliverables that support business and operational objectives
  12. Serve as a liaison during meetings with businesses, community groups, agencies, and industry organizations
  13. Data Requests & Operational Support
  14. Respond to GIS and mapping data requests from internal stakeholders
  15. Work independently to analyze requirements and deliver accurate GIS solutions

Requirements / Qualifications
Education & Experience
