Emphasizes kinesthetic learning through tactile activities and connects handwriting fluency to improved note-taking, test-taking, and overall written communication.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with handwriting development progressions and common challenges such as incorrect pencil grip, letter reversal, inconsistent sizing, and poor fine motor control. Adapts instruction using raised-line paper, sand trays, finger tracing, and fine motor strengthening activities to support students from preschool through elementary school and older students with handwriting difficulties or dysgraphia.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
