Title: Manufacturing Warehouse Associate

Location: Covington, GA 30014

Pay: $15.50/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM. Overtime may be requested.

Employment Type: W2 Temp-to-hire position with potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment (FTE) based on business needs.

Job Overview

We are hiring a Manufacturing Warehouse Associate to support production and material handling operations within a medical device manufacturing facility's Kitting Department. This position is responsible for moving and inspecting materials, assisting with manufacturing processes, maintaining quality documentation, and following established procedures to support daily operations. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with production materials and equipment, and the ability to maintain quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Move materials, parts, assemblies, and scrap products throughout the plant, office, or warehouse using handcarts and light material handling equipment.
  • Sort and inspect materials to ensure products meet quality requirements.
  • Perform basic inspection tasks using equipment and tools such as rulers and measurement devices.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation while following Good Documentation Practices.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality guidelines, and manufacturing processes.
  • Complete routine production and warehouse tasks within clearly defined procedures.
  • Support kitting and assembly-related activities as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, Team Leads, and Supervisors.
  • Perform basic computer tasks and maintain documentation in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one continuous year of experience with the same employer in a warehouse, manufacturing, assembly, production, or quality-related position required.
  • Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents written in English.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to read measurements and use basic inspection tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Effective communication skills with coworkers and supervisors.
  • General computer skills required.
  • Ability to work in a structured manufacturing environment while following established procedures.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to regularly walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, pull, push, grasp, twist, and perform repetitive hand motions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move materials weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot summer conditions with no air conditioning and cold winter conditions with limited heating.
