Manufacturing Technician


Location: GILEAD SCIENCES, LA VERNE - 21001004

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $26 per hour - $29 per hour

What You’ll Do: As a Manufacturing Technician at Sodexo, you will provide efficient and effective execution of moderately complex manufacturing tasks in support of production operations. You will ensure the preparation, sterilization, operation, and maintenance of processing equipment, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of manufacturing processes.


Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and operate filling and processing equipment (autoclaves, ovens, vial washers, and dehydrogenation tunnel), lyophilizer, and vial capper equipment in sterile classed cleanroom environments.
  • Prepare equipment and components for sterilization and dispense ingredients for batches.
  • Clean, assemble, and disassemble equipment for production and manufacturing areas. May perform clean-in-place, sterilization-in-place of tanks, and annealing and sterile filtration of products.
  • Complete required documentation of events and tasks related to assigned work, including logbook, and batch records. May perform inventory management using unit-specific software and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • May operate and perform more complex troubleshooting on equipment, like drum coater and compression equipment.
  • May train other Manufacturing Technicians on manufacturing processes (e.g., filling, hydration, coating, granulation, compression) and act as the point of contact for compliance audits.
  • Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.


What You Bring:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Master Batch Records
  • Prior experience in a Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)-related industry is required; 2-3 years of relevant experience within the Biopharmaceutical or Pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and administrative policies
