Description
JAC Products has an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Napoleon, OH. In this role, you will support Business Unit team members in the areas of problem solving, Lean and Continuous Improvement activities, and process development.
What You'll Do:
  • Act as a liaison between Manufacturing Engineering and Product Design Teams to facilitate Design for Manufacturability.
  • Perform routine process analyses to assess overall process performance, identifying areas of opportunity, and championing - via direct report group(s) and/or cross-functional teams - the timely implementation & execution of process improvements
  • Independently monitor plant KPIs, identifying areas of opportunity, and championing - via direct report group(s) and/or cross-functional teams - the timely implementation & execution of performance improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Knowledgeable of aluminum extrusion, buffing and fabrication tooling and equipment processes.
  • Strong technical writing skills for the preparation of quote packages and specifications.
  • Strong eye for detail and maintaining exacting standards.
  • Effectively work with others, sound verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Ability to provide performance standards, feedback and coaching to teammates and third-party suppliers.
  • Knowledgeable of CAD systems/software for product and tool designs.
  • Knowledge of fixture design, sensors, PLC and programming, poke yoke and error proofing.
  • Experience with APQP, GD&T, automotive quality and appearance standards, and finishing requirements.
  • Knowledgeable of raw materials, manufacturing methods and alternatives for improved performance and/or cost.
  • Strong communication skills, MS Office skills, organizational and problem solving skills are required
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 5-10 years' experience in engineering an automotive environment preferred
