About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Manufacturing Software Test Engineer to join our Manufacturing team. This role onsite based in Dallas, Texas.

The manufacturing software test team develops automated test systems and infrastructure for mass production of Wing's aircrafts. The successful candidate is able to demonstrate a broad multidisciplinary background of hardware and software systems as well as work cross-functional to develop and deploy robust solutions for our manufacturing lines, and support issues on the manufacturing lines.

What You'll Do: 

  • Develop, support and deploy test automation software and infrastructure to aircraft manufacturing sites during NPI and mass production stages
  • Investigate and analyze manufacturing data to debug hardware and software issues related to aircraft components/technologies and embedded Linux systems
  • Oversee and enhance aircraft deployment and testing at operational sites, ensuring alignment with company objectives and operational excellence
  • Work cross functionally with internal teams, vendors and contract manufacturer to drive projects, resolve issues and improve design/processes
  • Design and deliver data analysis tools and infrastructure that transform manufacturing data into actionable insights, leading to continuous improvement

What You'll Need: 

  • 5+ years of experience in designing and development software for manufacturing test and infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proficient programming with Python with strong understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming
  • Experience with hardware and software embedded systems in Unix/Linux environments,
  • Knowledge of test methodologies, creating test plans, test cases and QA processes
  • Experience in prototyping, bring-up, debugging, verification, and providing manufacturing support for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge with communication protocols and interfaces such as USB, UART, SSH, SCPI, or CAN
  • Experience with electronics fundamentals (e.g., reading schematics, datasheets)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-15%
