Description

Position Summary:

This position is a professional who is responsible for designing, developing, and improving manufacturing processes in a variety of industries. To optimize production methods, reduce costs and improve efficiency.ย 


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to help complete product designs across all phases of the engineering development cycle including NPI transition into manufacturing.
  • Act as technical resource to ensure the correctness of all required production paperwork, records, and documentation.
  • Works with engineers and program managers on design changes, BOMs and drawing updates during development and sustaining engineering projects.
  • Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency.
  • Provides hands on technical support to assembly and test technicians to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
  • Provides ERP support with BOM creation, BOM maintenance, BOM review, inspection criteria and other facets within the ERP system.
  • Demonstrates full proficiency in all duties and responsibilities of the role and acts as a subject matter expert within a given department according to the established skills competencies.
  • All other duties, as assigned.


Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • AAS, and/or BS or related field of study, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of mechanical/electrical manufacturing field experience is required. Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in understanding and interpretation of written and verbal instructions, directions, and technical information.
  • Intermediate computer competency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and business specific software (e.g. ERP, eQMS, CAD).
