Job Description

BS in Engineering (Chemical preferred) and 7+ years of chemical plant operations experience.

Should have 3+ years of Operations Management experience with strong leadership skills and dynamic personality. Will also consider someone currently in a role as Technical/Engineering/Quality Manager in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Must have experience in and responsibility for PSM

Should have a track record in continuous improvement (Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen etc.)

Prefer experience with medium to large, world class type chemical companies.

Union experience a plus. Strong conflict management skills.

Qualifications

Part of Site Leadership team and provides technical expertise and identifies cost saving opportunities.

Review production orders, prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure quality of products meets customer specifications.

Participate in preparation of annual Plant budget including budget estimates for various production areas.ย 

Identify improvement projects for cost reduction and process efficiency improvement.

Participate with safety, health and environmental programs and activities to provide for safe and productive working conditions in the facility.

Develop, direct and motivate employees to ensure quality and optimal performance.ย
