POSITION: Production Coordinator Supervisor
SHIFT: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
PAY RATE: $73,876 - $83,000+ (DOE) + Full Benefit Package
LOCATION: Fargo, ND, Billings, MT or Lubbock, TX
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Production Coordinator Supervisor is responsible for leading, developing, and standardizing production coordination activities across the site to ensure production readiness, schedule stability, and execution excellence. This role provides direct oversight of site Production Coordinators, establishes consistent processes, and serves as the enterprise owner of Production Coordination standards and best practices across fabrication operations. This position drives alignment between sales, engineering, production, and operations teams while improving workflow visibility, accountability, and execution. Through leadership, coaching, process standardization, and continuous improvement, the Production Coordinator Supervisor supports operational performance and the successful delivery of customer commitments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Own, lead and supervise site Production Coordinators to ensure consistent execution of standardized coordination processes across all product lines.
  • Establish and maintain standardized coordination workflows, including defined inputs, outputs, and engagement timing throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination between sales, engineering, fabrication, operations, quality, and enterprise support functions to ensure project readiness, schedule stability, risk mitigation, and successful execution of customer commitments.
  • Monitor and track production readiness, constraints, and risks; escalate issues to site leadership as needed.
  • Support execution of site KPIs (People, Quality, Velocity, Cost) by improving coordination effectiveness and operational visibility.
  • Define clear role responsibilities and workload expectations for Production Coordinators to focus on execution-critical activities.
  • Lead the onboarding, training, coaching, mentoring, and performance development of Production Coordinators to ensure consistent execution of standardized coordination practices across all locations.
  • Identify process gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production coordination performance.
  • Own the standardization and continuous improvement of Production Coordination processes, systems, KPIs, reporting, and best practices across fabrication operations.
  • Oversee production coordination processes including project readiness, material availability, inventory utilization, production control, and execution visibility to support efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes related to scheduling, readiness, coordination, and execution issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Maintain accurate tracking, reporting, and communication of project status and production readiness, and coordination metrics.
  • Travel approximately 30% of the time to support site operations, training, standardization initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement efforts across company locations.
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.

  • Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop Production Coordinators.
  • Deep understanding of fabrication, production flow, scheduling, and manufacturing operations.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, production coordination, or a related operational environment.
  • Two (2) or more years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with production planning, scheduling, coordination processes, and continuous improvement methodologies strongly preferred.
