Manufacturing Process Engineering Manager
Location: Arden Hills, MN, US 55112

Responsibilities
- Develop a vision and a multi-year road map that focuses on achieving excellence in the foundational elements of manufacturing engineering to support customer needs and product road map.
- Manage the manufacturing process engineering team, including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, planning work assignments, and appraising performance.
- Act as an influential manager guiding a team of Engineers and Technicians, managing talent, and improving critical processes and productivity for new product development.
- Set SMART objectives, evaluate progress, and instill a sense of urgency, energy, agility, and a performance‑oriented culture.
- Advance our culture of inventiveness, collaboration, customer‑focus, and experimentation for fast learning and engineering excellence necessary for the transfer of robust designs to manufacturing/production.
- Continuously improve and define critical engineering workflows, WIs, SOPs, processes, methods, and tools to accelerate new product development.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to enhance toolset development and utilization and execute to a high standard (e.g., FMEA, SPC, process modeling, Six Sigma).
- Provide technical oversight, approval, and review of all activities related to manufacturing processes to support new product development.
- Work with Product Engineering to transfer new products into released/volume manufacturing.
- Partner with the Manufacturing leadership team and engage in day‑to‑day operations related to manufacturing performance.
- Monitor progress of engineering projects and provide leadership to guide and coach teams to completion.
- Manage a budget, project costs, and capital expenditures.
- Understand and monitor the IP and process capability landscape; ensure that novel ideas leading to breakthrough and incremental innovations are captured in invention disclosure submissions and converted into intellectual property and trade secrets.
- Perform other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Manage functional project work as Business Unit needs require.
- Direct oversight of the Manufacturing Process engineering team assigned to the Business Unit supported.
- Demonstrate a history of proactive ownership, focus on results, and actively prioritize and manage competing demands.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in product development, manufacturing, or automation role
- 3+ years supervisory or management experience
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Travel requirement up to 5% domestically and internationally
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience leading engineering teams
- 5+ years supervisory or management experience
- Experience implementing and using lean concepts (Kanban, 5S, SMED)
- Structured problem‑solving experience (DMAIC, PDCA, 5S)
- Process validation experience coordinating installation, operational, and performance qualifications

- Pay Range: $120,000.00 – $135,000.00 / annually. This range is the pay scale for this role in Minnesota. Individual compensation is based on skills, experience, and qualifications related to this position.
