Job description

Ready to Run a Safe, High-Performing Line?

Do you thrive on the production floor—coaching teams, tightening processes, and turning metrics into momentum? As our Operations Manager over Converting and Extrusion, you’ll plan, direct, and coordinate production activities to maximize safety, quality, service, productivity, and profitability.

Your Challenge
  • Can you lead with safety first—advancing initiatives that protect the health, security, and welfare of employees while keeping a spotless, compliant facility?
  • Will you own end-to-end oversight of production and production support, ensuring alignment with company policies, principles, procedures, values, and standards?
  • Are you relentless in assessing strategies, systems, equipment, facilities, and skills to sharpen flow, service, quality, and margins?
  • Can you build and sustain quality assurance protocols that stand up to customer expectations and internal audits?
  • Do you keep work on schedule and within budget—then translate results into clear cost plans for corporate leadership?
Core Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate Converting and Extrusion operations to meet targets.
  • Conduct Daily GEMBA; perform daily audits for Standard Work, Housekeeping, and Roll Scanning.
  • Maintain and post shift scorecards twice monthly.
  • Assist with attendance and performance write-ups.
  • Ensure completion of SABA safety training across shifts.
  • Align OT schedules to demand; support the shift supervisor on the floor to improve uptime.
  • Lead, motivate, and support the production team, driving career development and resolving problems.
  • Manage data collection and update metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Oversee materials and inventory management.
  • Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to corporate leadership.
  • Willingly take on other duties and tasks as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
  • High school diploma required; secondary education and/or leadership training preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of production processes with the ability to oversee the bag-making process.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong communicator with proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Willing and able to work overtime.
  • Skilled in leadership/people management.
Impact You’ll Have

By integrating disciplined execution with on-the-floor presence, you’ll improve uptime, elevate quality, control costs, and build a team that’s confident, capable, and continuously improving.
