Job description

SUMMARY

Coordinate and manage all operational aspects of Manufacturing Value Streams and Quality Assurance. Assist Director of Operations in preparing and implementing standard operational procedures. Oversee Quality Assurance efforts to meet programmatic needs. Provide advice to Director of Operations on needs and shortcomings that affect efficient operation and growth of the company. Reports to Director of Operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Oversee and coordinate all operational activities across company Value Streams
  • Provide for and maintain a safe working environment
  • Invest in and train future leaders by building strong & efficient teams
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve key performance indicators, including productivity, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Monitor and manage operational budgets, labor utilization and resource planning across departments
  • Manage personnel, performance issues, disciplinary measures, and the evaluation of subordinates
  • Ensures the appropriate training of staff and effective, efficient work management.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices including 6S
  • Suggest resource, space and capability improvements, track Capital Expenditure projects associated to Manufacturing improvements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent in registration and experience, Master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience
  • Proficient in use of software and tools relevant to operational management: ERP software such as Epicor, tracking tools such as MaintainX and Machine Metrics, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of aerospace quality systems (AS9100, OSHA Compliance)
  • Demonstrated success in lean manufacturing / continuous improvement initiatives
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and team-building skills
  • Must be a US Citizen
